When the winter season in Northern Norway comes to an end, nice views are often out of reach unless you use ski or snowshoes. Downtown, the snow is dirty and ugly, but in the nature it’s quite wet and therefore impossible to walk on. Therefore we chose snowshoeing for Laila & Vegard’s engagement photo session. It was such a fun experience!
Snowshoeing up the hills
For the backdrop they chose a beautiful small hill overlooking the whole town of Alta. We had extremely high amounts of snow here, so this is what it looked like at the end of April. The snow was still quite deep and wet, so sometimes we “fell through”, even with the snowshoes on. However, snowshoes is a really nice device for the hiking tours in winter and spring as it opens up for many more places one can get to compared to regular hiking.
I wrote it many times before, but I’ll repeat it again… Engagement photo session is an amazing “training” before the wedding day. You and your partner will get some time together in front of the camera and will feel much more relaxed on the wedding day!
By the way, here you can see how Laila and Vegard’s wedding day turned out.
